Mar 09, 2011· I have the "proper" Yanmar workshop manual and it talks about ''standard'' pressure (measured at the oil sender outlet) being 42 to 56 psi whatever the discharge volume however fast the engine is reving. It also says ''secondary'' oil pressure (whatever this means!) should be measured and is 7psi at idle and 42 to 56psi at 3600 revs).

The oil pressure on my 155D is giving me a problem. In order to keep the pressure light (new sensor) off, I used to have to run it at just under 1000rpm. Yesterday, the light came on at about 1500rpm, and the engine had to be run at nearly 2000 rpm to keep the light off. I''m running 15/40 weight Rotella oil, if that makes a difference.

Feb 14, 2020· So testing over the weekend showed that the 1GM10 I am repowering Silver Maiden with has idiot light switches for Oil Pressure and Water Temp. I have fitted a digital Temp Gauge with the sensor attached by hose clamp to the water out of the engine port, and I think that will do for temp, but I am wanting to actually have an oil pressure gauge.
